A multinational automotive solutions provider faced the critical challenge of modernising its ageing network infrastructure during a facility transition, where outdated components, including switches, cables, UPS, firewalls, and others, caused inefficiencies such as poor monitoring, complex cable tracing, slow data transmission, and insecure failover mechanisms. These issues disrupted operations and productivity, necessitating a scalable transformation to achieve robust security, seamless business continuity, and enhanced network performance for future-ready operations.
To ensure a smooth transition to the new plant, ROX Hi-Tech carried out a comprehensive network upgrade. Structured cabling was installed to ensure proper I/O setup and port numbering, while firewalls were configured with SD-WAN, high availability (HA), security profiles, and VPNs to enhance security. Switching was optimised with VLANs, stacking, and access controls, and access points were deployed for seamless wireless connectivity. UPS and CCTV connections ensured uninterrupted power and enhanced security. This upgrade improved efficiency, reliability, and security across the organisation’s operations.
