A leading super-specialty hospital faced critical IT challenges threatening its operations and security. Relying on a single firewall creates a single point of failure, risking complete network downtime, disrupted services, and increased vulnerability to cyberattacks. The lack of ISP load balancing causes network congestion, inefficient bandwidth use, and downtime during ISP failures. Furthermore, the absence of a secure site-to-site VPN compromises encrypted communication between primary and branch sites, affecting remote management and data confidentiality. Unmanaged VLANs worsen security risks, network congestion, and traffic control issues, leading to performance problems and unauthorised access. Addressing these issues is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and strong security.
ROX Hi-Tech carried out a network infrastructure overhaul, implementing advanced security measures, optimising traffic management, and ensuring seamless interconnectivity. A High Availability (HA) failover system using Active-Passive mode on next-generation firewalls guaranteed uninterrupted operations. SD-WAN enabled intelligent ISP load balancing based on latency, jitter, and bandwidth, while Policy-Based Routing (PBR) prioritised critical services such as VoIP for enhanced performance. VLAN segmentation, combined with 802.1Q trunking, diminished congestion, ensuring efficient traffic flow. Additionally, a Site-to-Site VPN with IPSec encryption and redundant failover tunnels secured communication between locations, maintaining data integrity and reliability.
